9After helping to lead the Greeks to victory in
the ten-year Trojan War, our hero Odysseus sets
out to return to his island kingdom of Ithaca.
Unfortunately, while destroying the city of
Troy, Odysseus knocked over a shrine for
Poseidon, not a good idea when he still had to
sail home. The god of the sea was very angry,
and decided that Odysseus will never get home.
The Odyssey is the tale of Odysseus ten-year
adventure, while trying to get home. Lets take a
look at a map of where Odysseus went.
