• For the most part, the IETF has no role here
• Address space belongs to IANA, RIRs
• Policy discussions belong there as well
• Address space selling buying is a contractual
  and legal issue
• We cannot change the deployed technology

What This Means for the IETF...

• But, we need to support the technology
• Address space market may require technical
  components (such as sidr)
• We need to continue taking NATs into account in
  our protocol work
• Take care of maintenance and discovery of new
  issues as we deploy IPv6
• Anything new that we need to start? Keep
  listening to the users.
