  • Please take out your Homework and use the answer
    key to check your work.
  • I will also be checking your Learning Log
    notebook today. Please open your Learning Log to
    the Table of Contents page.

How to maintain an effective team
  • No one alone is as smart as all of us together.
  • - Do not leave anyone behind or let anyone work
    ahead on team work.
  • - Your team is not done until everyone is done.
  • Helping your teammate does not mean giving
    answers.
  • - Help by giving hints and asking good
    questions.
  • Clear off workspace before getting to work.
  • -This allows you to see everyones paper easily
    and to stay on-task together.

  • Continued to use Team Roles to work efficiently
    and effectively in your group.
  • Used the graphing calculator to identify
    possible values for x and y for a given function.
  • Entered a new Learning Log entry involving
    Domain and Range
  • Learned about Stop Light problems and the

Stop Light Problem 1-26
  • When you see the Stop Light icon to the right
    of a homework problem, that indicates that there
    is an error in the problem that you need to find
    and fix.
  • Problem 1-26 is the first stoplight problem.
  • I will give you the problem on a handout for you
    to solve in your teams using the study team
    strategy Round Table.

Study Team Strategy
  • Round Table Activity
  • One sheet of paper per team
  • Each student has a different color pen/pencil
  • Student 1 writes the first step of the solution,
    explaining aloud, and passes the paper along to
    Student 2.
  • Student 2 makes any corrections and adds the next
    step, explaining aloud, and passes on
  • Process continues until the problem is complete.
