An Amphibian is

• An animal that spends part of their lives under
  water, and the remainder on land.
• Frogs and salamanders are examples of amphibians.

How They Breathe

• While under water, amphibians breathe with gills.
• While on land, amphibians breathe with lungs
  (just like us!).
