An integrated suite of enterprise-wide
applications for Human Resources
Finance Student Administration residing on a
single relational database. So whats a
relational database? ?

• Relational Database an integrated collection of
  data items stored in related tables.
• (similar in logic to an Excel spreadsheet
• with columns and rows)
• where
• columns represent each data field (ID, name,
  term, etc.)
• rows represent the set of data fields for a
  particular entity (person, course, etc.)

• Also, a Web-based University-Wide Administrative
  system that
• uses mouse and keyboard commands
• looks and operates similarly to Microsoft Office
• uses expandable (and collapsible) Forms Lists
• allows direct navigation using 7-character form
  names
• provides the ability to search for forms

• SIS is antiquated and incapable of meeting our
  growing demands.
• Banner provides enhanced services for our
  students and faculty.
• Banner is replacing all central data systems as a
  single, unified system.
• Banner is a key technology action item in the
  20/20 Vision Plan

  enable enterprise best practices

  continued best value for the Students, Faculty

  (FRS and SIS Plus) will not continue
