• Background
• Remote Production Facility (PRF) is now active on
  Mars and Modular Robot Technology Components
  (MRT) are being produced ready for active
  missions.
• First Manned Craft, HMS Herschel, crashed on
  landing due to an unknown fault. Escape pods
  trajectories have taken them into High Radiation
  Zone.
• Primary and Secondary Safe Zones have been
  identified.

• Mission Objective
• To design, construct and program an autonomous
  robot to collect escape pods and cargo.
• To transmit the selected design to the RPF.
• Design Criteria
• Robot must fit into a transport craft (scaled to
  250mm by 250 mm)
• Robot must be able detect boundary of radiation
  zone and restrictive geographical features.
• Teams
• teams of four or five people.
• Roles to be agreed
