Title: PID updates for PEIMS data files
1PID updates for PEIMS data files
- Effective with this Fall/Mid-Year 2007-2008
release, PID updates sent via PEIMS data files
(batch process) will follow the same 14-day
business rule as PID Maintenance (online) i.e.,
updates can only be made to a specific PID record
every 14 days.
2Reminder The final week before any 1st
submission closes, EDIT experiences an extremely
high volume of file transfers. Due to the impact
this high volume has on statewide processing,
please do not wait until the final week to submit
your files.
3User Activities Page
- An Agent ID column has been added to the Users
Activity page (accessed from the User
Administration link). The search feature has been
enhanced to display the logon Agent ID and all
Agent IDs within the hierarchy, consistent with
the User Directory Page. For example, if a
district ID is entered in the search, the page
displays the district ID and all campus IDs. The
user can then select the Name hyperlink to
display the User Activity page for a specific
Agent ID
4Reason for Dual Event Dates (C and V)
- A new field, Event Reason, has been added to
the PET Event Maintenance and PET Event History
pages to aid in the identification and
verification of dual event dates (enrollment or
withdrawal). The new field contains two columns. - Calendar (C) Indicating research has
confirmed that dual event dates (enrollment or
withdrawal) are due to conflicting district
calendars. - Verified (V) Indicating dual enrollment has
been verified or validated by other means of
documentation. - These values also display in a new column added
to PET3D001 PET Presumed Duplicate Report for
Enrollment.
5Once logged on go to PID Subapp
6You will do a search on the student
7Once you enter the students ID or Name, search
and select the student
8In this screen they have added a Reason column
This column will indicate with a C or V if
this student has been coded
9In order to code this student, when you search
and the screen comes up with his/her information,
the date under Event Date column will be
underlined. You will need to click on this date.
10You now have the choice of coding this dual event
either a C or V
Once you submit the C or V will be in the
Reason column
11C
People are now able to see this students dual
event has been verified.

14Enhanced Student Leaver Submission Reports
- The Student Leaver Record Submission reports have
been enhanced for 2007-2008 as follows - Leaver Definition includes the 203 Record. The
definition of leaver has been expanded to include
the 203 record, impacting the following reports
PRF0B032 (Presumed Underreported Students List),
PRF0B033 (Preliminary Presumed Underreported
Students List). - Date GED Certificate Issued. Formerly, the Texas
GED Recipient column listed Yes if the student
was a GED recipient. This column has been renamed
Texas GED Recipient Date and displays the date
a GED certificate is issued to a student.
Additionally, a footnote indicates the date on
which GED certificate issuance information is
retrieved (initially, in mid-September and again
after the close of the 1st submission). The
following reports are impacted PRF0B031 (Interim
List to Assist Districts in Leaver Record
Submission), PRF0B032 (Presumed Underreported
Students List), and PRF0B033 (Preliminary
Presumed Underreported Students List). - New Parameter. The PRF0B031 (Interim List to
Assist Districts in Leaver Record Submission)
parameter page for PRF0B031 has been enhanced to
provide a new parameter that would include only
those students who are not school year movers or
prior year Texas graduates, i.e., only include
those students who do not have a Yes flag in
either of those columns in the report. - New Summary Information. A summary is displayed
on the final page of PRF0B032 and PRF0B033, if
the underreported parameter is selected when
the report is run. The summary is similar to the
retired report PRF0B001 summary, listing a count
of Prior Year Students, Current Year Students,
and the percent differential.
