Accountancy
Three years ago, I gave up my job in China and
came to England to study the ACCA papers. After
serious consideration and comparison of all the
universities in the UK, I chose the University of
Huddersfield to fulfil my dream. Studying at
the University of Huddersfield was really
enjoyable I made a lot of friends and whenever I
needed help, they were always there to support me
and help me. It was those kind people at the
University who helped me and made my dream come
true. I progressed onto the MA Accounting
and Finance from the ACCA Professional course. I
believe that with the ACCA qualification and an
MA in Accounting and Finance, my future career is
going to be brighter than ever.

Huddersfield for her top-up course to improve

There are lots of good things about
this University which I can confidently say
after spending three years here. As foreign
students coming here for the first time, we have
a fear that we will not make friends, but I was
welcomed with open armsfrom the people in
Huddersfield. Yu Bai has since returned to
Changsha City andgained employment with a large
hotel chain. Yu Bai, China BA(Hons)

the coveted Microsoft development

I have never had experience with programming
until I started my degree, I have now had
the chance to animate a character modelled in my
first year! The experience I have had to date
has been fantastic and I am looking forward to
the future. As far as me getting an actual job is
concerned I know that the experience gained from
my studies and the experience I will gain in the
real world, is a step in the right
direction. Ben Gouldstone BA(Hons) Computer

the subject, covering everything from the
creative to recording and technical studio

59
I came to Huddersfield because of their
reputation for Music Technology which is rated
very high and to help practice my English
language skills. I also liked the fact that
there is a good range of different nationalities
at Huddersfield which suits me as it allows me to
practice informal English language. When you
visit the big cities in the UK as I have, they
feel very similar to back home and I dont feel I
am getting the true British experience. Ikumi
Sakuraba, Japan BA(Hons) Popular Music Production

Psychology
Most of our degrees offer Graduate Basis for
Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological
Society (BPS), which is the first step to
becoming a chartered psychologist. I know the
UK has a good international reputation for
Psychology and Counselling degrees and so I
searched on the internet and discovered
Huddersfield. I visited several UK universities
and found the staff at Huddersfield the most
welcoming and supportive, especially with the
application process. I was also very impressed
with the facilities and look of the
University Everado Gutierrez, Mexico BSc(Hons)

and very rare to find as very few universities
offer a Masters in Science and Management. The

I chose Huddersfield after a friend had told me
about the University. I searched on the web and
discovered that the course structure was perfect

me. The University has been developed and
updated very well keeping its facilties very
