• Because the CPFT can be given in a relatively
  short period of time, this gives NCOs a good
  period of time to make any corrections in
  performance that havent been dealt with yet.
  The entire rest of the night is devoted to an
  inspection of knowledge, uniforms, and drill.

Uniforms

• By this time, cadets should have at least a
  complete BDU uniform, with all tapes patches. If
  the entire class does not have a complete blues
  uniform, the entire class will promote in BDUs
  for the sake of uniformity.
• Cadets should bring their entire BDU uniform in
  on CPFT night to get it checked out by the
  instructors. After testing, the cadet should try
  it on to double check the proper fit and
  placement of everything. Errors should be
  corrected ASAP.

Things to Check

• BDU cover has cardboard circle
• CAP cut-outs are 1 inch from leading edge and
  centered
• CAP and name tapes are folded under and on the
  correct pockets
• Reversed American Flag patch is on the right
  shoulder, .5 inch down
• Wing patch is on the left shoulder, .5 inch down
• Correct belt
• Pockets ironed down
• Pants bloused
• Boots shined
• All threads on blouse and pants clipped
• PROPER GROOMING

Drill

• By this time, the cadet should know each command
  in Chapter 1 perfectly.
• Dont slack off, though. This is not the time
  for a drill down or any type of drill game. This
  should be the most demanding drill session the
  cadets have yet experienced.
• They might be good, but they havent promoted
  yet. Things that werent a big deal in the past
  matter more now because the cadet has improved.
  Nit pick!

General Knowledge

• The Flight should be quizzed on the general
  knowledge they have been learning the past few
  weeks. Every cadet should know every item on the
  list by this time. Dont settle for anything
  less than perfection. This inspection isnt
  graded, it is simply to see who isnt performing
  up to standards and to get them there.
