A Drug-Free Workplace Policy accomplishes three
major things
  • Sends a clear message that alcohol and drug use,
    sales, possession or being under the influence is
    prohibited
  • Encourages employees who have problems with
    alcohol and other drugs to voluntarily seek help
  • Clarifies what conduct is expected, what conduct
    is prohibited, and what are the consequences for
    policy violation.
