Problem

• What effect will caffeine have on blood pressure?

Hypothesis

• I think that when you drink caffeine your blood
  pressure will rise.

Procedure

• 1.Take yor blood pressure and record it
• on a chart.
• 2.Drink a glass of water then wait 15 minutes and
  check your blood pressure again.Record results.
• 3.Repeat step 2 for glasses of soda and coke.
• 4. Record results.

• Coke
• Cups
• Blood pressure machine
• 10 people

Observation

• When the students drank the coke their blood
  pressure went higher than their initial one.
• When the students drank the water and the
  orange juice the water effected blood pressure
  more than the orange juice.

Conclusion

• As stated in my hypothesis,I believed that when
  you drink caffeine your blood pressure will
  rise.The experiments data supported my
  hypothesis,indicating a relation between blood
  pressure and caffeine was found to apply over
  different drinks.Through my research as well as
  my experience,I discovered that the amount of
  caffeine is not the same in all drinks.Ideas for
  a future experiment would be to determine which
  drinks have the most caffeine.

What I Learned

• The purpose of this project was to find out how
  caffeine effects blood pressure.The experiment
  involved measuring a persons blood pressure
  before and after they drink something with
  caffeine.This was done by recording the blood
  pressure of a person before and after they drink
  something.The measurments confirmed my hypothesis
  that when you drink caffeine your blood pressure
  will rise.These findings lead me to believe that
  high blood pressure is the result of too much
  caffeine.As the amount of caffeine in a substance
  increased,so did the persons blood pressure
  increased too.
• I discovered that coke and water did the most
  effect on blood pressure.
