Models of Delivery of AP in Ontario
  • Many schools in Ontario use one of the following
methods in preparing students for the AP exams
  • The AP Coordinator at the school provides
material so that students can prepare for AP
    exams on their own.
  • Teachers work with students on AP material in
small groups before and after school
  • AP students are grouped in classes with regular
    academic students
  • AP students are grouped in dedicated AP classes.

Bishop Allen Grads Speak
  • Daniel Phan, BA Grad
  • National AP Scholar,2007
  • I have used all of my eligible AP credits here
at U of T, which are Biology, Psychology, English
Lit. and Physics. . I would have found the
courses in high school much less engaging than
they were if I had not taken AP.

28
.About AP Success!
  • Alisha Olsthoorn, BA Grad,
  • AP Scholar With Distinction, 2007, Chancellors
    Scholarship, Dalhousie University
  • Now that mid-terms are done I am able to get a
better idea of where I stand amongst the 500 or
so students in some of my classes and I am still
managing to be right near the top of the class
(with mid-term marks close to 98 in at least two
courses). There's no doubt that it's in part
because of the extra knowledge and work ethic
that I learned from being in AP courses. As well,
I didn't feel as intimidated as some people going
into our first set of university exams because I
had practice with taking AP exams so I felt more
    confident.
