- The aim of this endeavor is to provide an
opportunity for High school students to explore
the STEM fields under the mentorship of Keaholoa
STEM interns, faculty mentors and Hawaiian
cultural advisors. Prospective high school
students will be engaged in a range of
activities and events directed at developing both
academic and cultural knowledge of the student.

kupuna.
8Incentive and Benefit
- ike students will receive 150.00 stipend at mid
term and the end of each semester - ike student tuition will be waived for summer
intensive and a 250.00 stipend will be provided.
- ike students transitioning to UH Hilo will be
eligible to become a Keaholoa intern - ike students earn 3 summer college credits in
Kalo Science course.
