Introduction

• The main goal of this course is to
  introducing the basic methods for collection of
  different biological samples from animals to be
  send to the laboratory, As its an important for
  veterinarians whose working in the clinics to
  know these basic methods.
• This course was held in four agriculture
  regions in addition to the quarantine section in
  the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishers form
  (29 - 2 - 2004 to 29 - 3 - 2004).

• The course was divided in to four sections
  started by the General Introduction to Sampling
  Methods which contain planning for Specimens
  collection, Labeling and recording of the
  samples, information to be sent with the
  collected samples and finally the transportation
  of the samples.
• The second section is the Sampling Methods for
  Bacterial Examination and it deals with the
  various kinds of samples to be collected for
  bacteriological examination and which sample must
  be collected for the defined disease, also the
  proper techniques for collection and preservation
  of these samples.

• The third section shows the Sampling Methods for
  Viral Examination and it deals with the various
  viral diseases which affect farm animals, and
  which sample must be collected for the defined
  disease, also show the proper techniques for
  collection and preservation of these samples.
• The forth section deals with Samples for
  Diagnosis of Parasitic Diseases and it show the
  method for collecting samples for diagnosis of
  Gastrointestinal Parasites ( helminthes and
  protozoa), also the method for collecting blood
  for diagnosis of parasite (Anaplasma, Theileria,
  Babiesia, Trypanosoma), How we can make blood
  film, and the diagnosis for each one.
