• The library was asked to present the resources
  available in the library to new employees as part
  of the new-hire orientation
• Library as a benefit of affiliation
• Nurses make up largest employee group and most
  likely to need/use library services
• Competencies, skills, teamwork, compliance,
  patient care issues

• Part of the new-hire orientation packet
• List of resources available from library
• Workstation availability (routes of access)
• Training
• Must lend itself to branding to help create an
  identity for Tuality
• Material to be added to employee communications
  (Innerviews, Central Lines)

Format/Template

• Paper format, part of a large packet of
  information
• Inviting, not just another list or piece of paper
• Instructional
• This is a pilot project and may eventually extend
  to each employee group
• The project could extend to a webpage of links
  for specific employee groups

The Process

• Communication with Librarian (face-to-face and
  e-mail)
• Brochure Draft
• Input from Library Technical Assistant
• Input from Education Coordinator
• Revision and re-submission of draft

• First draft
• Informational Brochure
• Not able to get all necessary information in such
  a concise format
• Decision made that format will work as a series
  (limited to 3-4 brochure handouts)
• Elements moved and the decision was made to
  dedicate a portion to customization (back panel)
• Main Brochure re-submitted

• Project not yet complete, working on main
  brochure, awaiting photo and logo determination
• Next step, companion brochures
• Branding we are determining how best to
  accomplish this task
• Will be an evolving process, updated as materials
  are added/weeded
• Project will need to be presented for approval

• Repackaging requires communication, willingness
  to adapt and change direction mid-stream!
