4We bats are terribly misunderstood no one
believes that our nature is good.
5Grumio the rustic slave listens to Tranio the
city slave defend her life of partying.
6 Philolaches returns from school, ready to party.
7Tranio philosophizes with Philolaches about his
degenerate lifestyle.
8Scapha helps Philematium prepare for
Philolaches party.
9Philolaches says, Lets get this party started.
His buds will be here soon!
10Philematium tries to console the hysterical
Delphium.
11Pater adest? Philolaches father Theopropides
has returned from Egypt! Everyone hide in the
house!
12Theopropides wife and kids love their
souvenirs. And boys.
13Theopropides and his wife begin a song as the
wife of their neighbor Simo looks on
14Were back in Athens after our trip to see the
wonders of Egypt. We left our son in charge of
the house - sure hope hes cleaned it!
15Those arent partiers inside, Theopropides
theyre ghosts! Your house is haunted!
16No one, not even Philolaches, will pay the
miserable moneylender.
17Simo cant stand his wife.
18Tranio (yes, the same one as before) sings about
how great she is.
19Theopropides is told by two slaves that his
house has been party central.
20Party people, get out of the hizzouse!
21Theopropides forgives his son and regrets sending
him to Carleton, where he learned his partying
ways. Now he will go to St. Olaf!
22Harmony is restored for both the Athenians and
the bats.
