Workforce An opportunity to discuss the issues
raised at the morning's presentation
This event is for colleagues from around the
Faculty of Health Social Care and Education to
come together to discuss and share good practice
in Learning and Teaching. Â Following coffee at
9.00am, the morning sessions will begin at 9.30am
in OB305. Two presentations E-learning
developments in the North West by Mike Farrell,
Cumbria and Lancashire Workforce Interactive
Whiteboard Technology in Higher Education by
Maureen Haldane, Promethean Centre for Excellence
will be followed by a choice of round table
sessions, continuing the themes. Â During lunch
there will be an opportunity to network and share
information with our colleagues, as well as
exhibit and discuss posters and leaflets about
your own projects. In the afternoon, Kate Kirk,
National Teaching Fellow, will give a
presentation on Diversity Achievement,
researching the experience of non-traditional
entry students in HE, together with an
opportunity to hear about the National Teaching
Fellowship scheme. Following this there will be a
choice of three round table sessions that will
address issues of relevance to a range of
professional educational concerns. The
afternoon plenary will reflect on the days
findings, and also provide an opportunity to
reflect and evaluate the day using the ACTIVote
evaluation technology (AKA Who wants to be a
Millionaire).
