    relevant to their lives.

  • Research states that teens are most likely to
    have success academically and stay away from
    sexual activity if they follow their religion.

    religious beliefs is an important part of their
    lives.

  • Practiced religion since small girl.
  • Her religion unites her family.
  • Although it's hard to stay strong in faith,
    religion has helped make right decision
  • Chooses to be at church than with bad influences.
    Stays away from drugs and drinking.

Christian at Media Possibilities with faith
  • Grew up and went to church in Africa.
  • Teaches her how to stay focused in school,
    respect elders, and stay away from negativity.
  • Lost her brother because of war in Africa.
  • Religion has kept her strong. Believes she will
    see her brother one day, if she stays strong in
    faith and prays.

  • 8 percent of all public schools sponsor classes
    about the Bible.
  • Schools may talk about religion but not influence
    students to practice .
  • Plettner believes schools do not acknowledge
    spirituality for youth. If students learn about
    spirituality, then they would be more
    compassionate.

  • Religion is part of American culture.
  • It's important we learn about religion in America
    before we make judgments of other's faiths.
  • Students at Media believe religion is another
    guideline to solve problems in life in a positive
    way.
