• According to the Merriam-Webster Collegiate
  Dictionary, news is defined as
• 1. a a report of recent events b previously
  unknown information
• 2. a material reported in a newspaper or news
  periodical or on a newscast b matter that is
  newsworthy

What is News/Announcements?

• So what is my point?
• Only recent information should be placed on
  pagelets, so think about your publishing dates
  when writing your articles.
• In addition, what may seem newsworthy to you, may
  not be to the reader. Try asking colleagues what
  they think of your idea for an article and always
  make your articles interesting to the reader.
• Overall, myUFL is for the reader. All information
  should be recent and something that will benefit
  your readers.
