Indy Banana Car Guidelines
Materials The car should be fully assembled by
the elementary student prior to the event.
Bananas and 16 rubber bands will be provided on
the day of the Olympiad. Evaluation 1. The
Banana Car is measured from where it starts to
where it stops. 2. The car must have a body to
carry the banana safely. 3. The SECME student
can only the wheels and axles can be used
from a store bought car. 4. The car must be made
by the child. 5. Seat belts and decorations are
optional. 6. The car gets two chances to run. 7.
The cars distance is measured by how far it
travels. 8. Students must bring their
launcher! 9. The car must securely transport the
banana the entire way!
