RELEVENCE PURPOSE OF ITP PROJECT

• To highlight the importance of information
  technology and to make students computer savvy,
• Enable students to learn to access the internet,
• enable a student to learn the skill of having
  access to information,
• To help student to learn how to choose relevant
  information and organize it for the presentation
  and preservation,
• To enable students to learn the critical analysis
  of a subject,
• Sensitize students towards social issues
• Enhance students employability skills.

WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE STUDENT

• Attendance in two training programmes in the
  college compulsory,
• Visit to 10 web-sites,
• Preparation of a booklet of downloaded material
  with title and Index,
• Write critical review of downloaded information,
• Attend and participate in Departments Annual
  Festival,
• Prepare feedback of festival and write Project
  report.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

• Selection of the topic with the help of SM or
  EWT to avoid repetition of topic,
• Learn to access and write down the steps for
  access to internet,
• Visit to ten web-sites compulsory,
• Choose proper key words for getting information,
• Do not download too many information, to reduce
  cost factor,
• In-case information on any topic not available in
  a site than state no information found,

• Possibly select socially relevant topics,
• Title of the Project Report should be based on
  the topic of the Information collected,
• Project to be written in English only and
  computer generated copies,
• Review of each site downloaded information to be
  written separately in the Project report,
• One page critical review on the topic selected is
  essential.

ROLE OF STUDENT MANAGERS

• To plan, organise, delegate EWP,
• Attendance and participation in the college and
  University level training programmes,
• Regularly check EWS dairy so as to complete
  Project report in time,
• To guide and help EWS in every step at college or
  community level,
• To help EWT in preparing complete and correct
  reports,
• Remain present during Field Visit by the EWFC
