  • Installation
  • Remove steamer from box and position on shelf of
    toaster table.
  • Attach water line to steamer regulator.
  • Set water regulator to 25 psi.
  • Plug in steamer.
  • Turn on. Allow to warm up for 20 minutes.
  • Cycle unit 3 times to purge air in water line.

    display will show the Alarm Delay time setting.

  • The alarm delay may be set for 0 10 seconds.

  • Note Pressing at any time exits the
    Program
  • Mode without storing any changes.

  • Press and hold
  • Display will show current temperatures setting.
  • Press to change between F and C
  • Release both and when finished.

  • Temperature Calibration Calibrating the Platen
  • The CAL TEMP mode is used to calibrate the platen
    temperature with and external meter connected to
    the plug inlet on the right side of the unit.

  • Press to zero the previous calibration

    exit CAL TEMP mode.

  • Manual Reset
  • A hi-limit thermostat will turn off electrical
    power to the platen and control circuits if the
    unit overheats.
  • Turn the unit off and let the unit cool down for
    10-25 minutes before resetting.
  • Remove black cap at back of unit and press manual
    reset button to restart. Replace cap when
    complete.

  • Wear protective gloves.
  • Remove top cover, spatula, top cover and venturi
    plate.
  • Wash top cover, top plate, and venturi plate in
    solution of McD APSC/APC.
  • Rinse with clean water.
  • Sanitize with solution of McD Sink Pak
    Sanitizer.

  • Wipe steamer platen chamber with clean, sanitized
    cloth.
  • Use a brush to clean the water tube.
  • Dip the brush in deliming solution.
  • Insert brush about 1 into water tube and remove.
  • Repeat for 30 seconds.

  • Use solution of McD APSC/APC in a spray bottle.
  • Spray solution directly on clean, sanitized
    towel.
  • Wipe all external surfaces with towel.
  • Reassemble unit and run four steam cycles to
    remove residual cleaning solution and prime unit.

  • Cleaning Monthly PM tasks
  • For monthly cleaning, follow the same steps as
    for daily
  • cleaning and add the following steps
  • Pour a solution of McD DelimerTM (one packet per
    16 oz of hot water) into steamer chamber and
    allow to soak for 15 minutes.
  • Use brushes to clean water tube.
  • Remove delimer solution and rinse steam chamber
    with clean water.

  • Cleaning Notes
  • It is recommended that the steamers go through a
    deliming procedure at least once a month. Some
    hard water areas may require daily, weekly, or
    biweekly deliming based upon actual buildup.
  • In areas affected by very hard water, a reverse
    osmosis (RO) water filtration system is an option
    to reduce accumulation of mineral deposits in the
    steamer. Contact is a KES or Coca-Cola for
    recommendations.

  • Cleaning Cautions
  • Turn the unit off and unplug the power cord
    before cleaning. Unit is still HOT!
  • The unit is NOT watertight. Do not clean with
    jet spray or spray directly on unit. Do not
    immerse unit in water.
  • Do not use abrasive materials such as
    scrappers, steel wool, etc. to clean spatula or
    steam chamber.
