Just how competitive is the ERC?

• Approx 200 projects will be funded in Call 1
  across the entire EU Austria Switzerland
• Ireland approx 1 of EU population
• Pro Rata on population Ireland might expect 2
  projects in Call 1 i.e. fiercely competitive!
• However, grants will be based on excellence only.
  No consideration given to area, geography etc.
