CLUESCan you IMAGINE
  • Only 30 seconds to make an impression
  • What you say can make or break you
  • How you walk, talk or even look affects your
    future?

3
Or maybe you might say
  • Lots of people who walk past you have jobs and
you look at them and think
  • I know that I could get that job probably better
that some of them, but people wont trust you.

4
Yet, in that 30 secondsCould you fit into one
of these scenarios
  • SHANENE DENICE - appears for a job interview
wearing inappropriate clothing. She has dressed
for an office job wearing a tank top with no
shoulder straps, jeans which display her
midsection, sandals, and rings on all ten fingers
    and toes.
  • JAMEEK DRAGGINDRAWS always wears the pants
without belts or doesnt fit properly across the
    waist and looks unkempt.
  • PAM ASLAMMIN cannot make the call for the
interview and always slamming the phone down
    disgusted in frustration.
  • EDDIE ESCUEZES- has failed twice to appear for an
interview with one of your best employers. Yet,
he thinks he has "good reasons" as to why he/she
did not go for the interview.

5
Of course, you know them! Right? These are some
of the stereotypes that often make or break those
first impressionsTHE BLUES!!Now, think about..
6
The Question isHow do we help each other
during the pre-interviewing process?

  • Keep the discussions simple and always use
    manners
  • Be aware of your introduction, presentation and
    show confidence
  • Dont let the clothes wear you
  • Wear the clothes that are appropriate for the
    interview
  • Definitely take pride in your accomplishments
  • And display all that you know from this training

8
Scenarios After Training
  • Shanene thinks like this
  • But, Shanene will look like this

9
After scenarios (cont.)
  • Jameek Draggindraws dresses like this
  • But, after the training

10
After scenarios (cont.)
  • Pam Aslammin slams the phone
  • But, after that slammin, she is

11
Scenario, not least
  • Eddie Escuezes with excuses
  • But, now without excuses.

12
The ACTUAL Interview
  • Without the drama and overkill
  • Without the sloppiness and unkempt look
  • Without the attitude and defensiveness
  • Without the excuses and good reasons
