• This kind of art has existed since the 3rd
  millennium B. C. It was born in the Egypt, but
  for European culture the development in Greece
  was really important. Two main gentres have
  developed here comedy and tragedy.

• The development of theatre was affected by the
  religion in the Middle Ages. The balet, opera or
  puppet theatre were born in 15st century.

History of theatre in Czech Republic

• First theatres were hung together with folklore
  traditions. First Czech puppet theatres have
  existed since early Middle Ages. The development
  of theatre was affected by the production of some
  writers.

• In the 18st century the situation was bad in the
  Czech Republic, because the official language was
  German, but many people wanted to improve this
  situation. And it was the reason, why the first
  Czech theatres were developing in this time. The
  first Czech scene came into being in the year
  1738.

The history of film

• The first film projection was in the year 1896 in
  Karlovy Vary. First Czech film shots have filmed
  J. Krizenecky and showed them on the exhibition
  in Prague.
