  • Definitions
  • Evacuation organized, phased and supervised
    withdrawal, dispersal, or removal of civilians
    from dangerous or potentially dangerous areas,
    AND their reception and care in safe areas.
  • Shelter in Place Remaining in a location,
    usually indoors, where hazardous materials are in
    the environment, while taking precautions to
    minimize exposure to those materials.

  • Part I What if we had to evacuate all or a part
    of the campus with some notice?
  • Part II What if we had to evacuate all or a
    part of the campus with no notice?
  • Given these assumptions
  • Authority to evacuate is made
  • PD has responsibility for evacuation
  • Most will evacuate when told to do so
  • Some will refuse, regardless of the threat
  • We will have minimal help from outside the
    campus
