Nadcap Accreditation Explained

Nadcap Accreditation Explained - History
  • The Nadcap accreditation year is divided into
    quarters.
  • This is because Task Groups used to meet
quarterly to review audit reports. This is now
    done online at www.eAuditNet.com
  • The quarterly Nadcap meetings still take place
but, thanks to eAuditNet, accreditations can be
issued at any time during the quarter.

Nadcap Accreditation Explained - Questions
  • Q If my initial audit takes place in September
    2003, when does it expire?
  • A All initial audits taking place between
September November 2003 have an expiry date of
    January 2005.
  • Q What if I dont get accredited until June
    2004?
  • A Nadcap accreditation is determined by the
date you have the audit, not when you receive
your accreditation. Your accreditation will still
    expire in January 2005.
  • Q If my reaccreditation audit takes place in
September 2003, when does it expire?
  • A That depends. If you do not receive merit, it
will expire in January 2005. However, if you are
eligible for the merit program, you can achieve
an extended accreditation period, which can be 18
    24 months of accreditation.

Nadcap Accreditation Explained - Questions
  • Q How do I find out more about the merit
    program?
  • A All Task Groups have different criteria for
entry into the merit program. Please check with
your audit contact for further details.
  • Q I have just been accredited and my
reaccreditation audit has been scheduled for two
weeks from today why is this and what do I do?
  • A You have received your accreditation very late
and it will shortly expire. The auto-scheduling
system has tried to allocate your next audit as
soon as possible so that your accreditation will
not lapse. We understand that this is not always
convenient, however, so please contact us to
discuss more appropriate dates for this audit.
  • Q Does this mean accreditation does not last
    twelve months?
  • A The length of your actual accreditation
depends on when you receive your accreditation.
The more you prepare for your audit, the longer
    your accreditation should be.
