Objectives of the Balloon Project (GCC)

• The main objective of the project
• Promotion of the of Gulf Cooperation Council
  states and propagation of the foresighted vision
  of the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council about
  the international openness on the dialogue of
  civilizations and delivery of Gulf culture in all
  areas across the globe
• Through the teams discussions with the public
  and audiences at international festivals and
  global forums
• Cooperation with local associations of
  organizations like (Red Crescent etc.) and of
  Ministries like (Interior, Education, etc.) in
  order to fetch direct and indirect media support
  for the team and its promotion in a big way in
  the larger segments of the society
• To evolve the fastest way to connect with global
  local population and the biggest in terms of
  lesser cost and greater result

Technology used in the GCC Balloon

• The main aspects of the flying balloon with all
  the symbols and features of Gulf Cooperation
  Council states and its ancient culture
• The capacity of the airbag is 150,000 cubic
  meters 9745.5 square meters. Its length is 50
  meters and width is 25 meters. Two burners (fire
  propellers) at a rate of 15,000,000 candles per
  second
• Basket with a capacity for 6 people. It can carry
  disabled people and women
• Self operated air pumps for the rotation of the
  balloon on the vertical line of the basket to
  enable the media and the public to see the
  balloon from all directions (3 directions for the
  logo)
• Flying equipment (temperature sensors, altimeter,
  speedometer, equipment for ground and air
  communication, navigation equipment, security and
  safety equipment, first aid and fire extinguisher)

GCC Balloon Competitors

• Two pilots (westerners). It is very difficult to
  represent any Arab and Islamic country and to
  carry the Arab Gulf culture that stems from
  within the GCC balloon team
• The GCC balloon team has considerable experience
  in the area of balloon flying despite being in
  its early days in the field with young members,
  which enables it to deliver its message for a
  longer time
• Achievements of the GCC balloon team Obtaining
  the best title in the Russian Open tournament in
  2005 with the Bright Star, and earning the first
  place in the Swiss Open tournament. The western
  media took much interest in it for being the only
  Arab team in this area

• The GCC balloon team collaborates with the
  worlds best company of balloon manufacturing,
  which has received a certificate of appreciation
  from the Queen of Britain
• which makes the team one of the most famous in
  the world of balloons because of the
  international fame enjoyed by the company
• The veteran company in the field of manufacturing
  and maintaining balloons, helps the team by
  providing guidance and technical sessions to the
  team members.
• The Company follows the worlds most important
  safety and security measures and high quality
  equipment of modern technology, as per the rules
  imposed by Civil Aviation Authority of Britain
  for balloon companies

Significance of the GCC Balloon

• Loyalty and Love
• To highlight the extent of love and pride for the
  wise leadership of the leaders of Gulf
  Cooperation Council, and the great
  interdependence between the government and the
  distinguished people of the GCC states, and the
  level of the success achieved by the Gulf in
  providing a decent and proud life for the
  citizens and residents in Gulf states
• Since the United Arab Emirates balloon team is
  considered the only Arab team in the field of
  balloon flying, it is therefore regarded as the
  ambassador and main representative of the Arab
  states
