Who Are Manpower Associates?

• Manpower Associates is a no-profit organization
  of men and women from various professions who are
  dedicated to promoting the health and well being
  of men. We endeavor to break down stereotypes
  and stigmas that men generally associated with
  health and the health-care profession. We assist
  men in learning about themselves as well as
  motivate them to seek proper medical attention.
  We work along with doctors, clinics, nursing
  homes, sports programs and others to help promote
  health for men. We deal with health issues that
  may contribute to years of life lost.

Testicular and Prostate CancerWhat are They?

• Prostate Cancer is a group of cancerous cells
  that begin usually in the outer part of the
  prostate, which is part of the male reproductive
  system.
• The prostate gland is an organ located beneath
  the bladder and it surrounds the urethra.
  Secretes a fluid to help sperm survive in the
  volatile environment of the vagina.
• Cancers usually appears in men after age 40.
• May spread to other areas if left undetected
  and cause serious problems even death.

• Testicular Cancer is a malignant growth or lump
  in or on the testicle or epidydimus.
• Very treatable if detected early.
• Usually affects men between the age of 20-34,
  but can affect males any age.

Symptoms

• For Prostate
• Enlarged Prostate
• Difficult or frequent urination.
• Hesitancy or dribbling of urine.
• For Testis
• A lump, swelling, or hardness on testis.
• A dull pain or ache in testis
• Both produce little pain and may be unwisely
  ignored.

What to do?

• See a doctor regularly, early detection is vital.
• Know your family medical history.
• Ask about diagnostic screening tests.
• Familiarize yourself with male reproductive
  health.
• Perform monthly self-examinations.

Self-ExamKnow the PartsExamine the surface of
testis for smoothness.Examine the epidydimus and
vas deferens for lumps, irregularities, and over
sensitivity.
