  • What is a Service Hour?
  • Unpaid help for a disadvantaged group of people
  • What a Service Hour is NOT
  • Church Activities
  • Getting paid to mow your neighbors lawn
  • Helping your family clean the garage

Service Requirements
  • Candidate Quarter Requirements
  • 7 total service hours
  • 5 MUST be contributed to a BAP sponsored event
  • 2 can be contributed to BAP or another
    organization
  • YET, only 5 total Non-BAP service hours can be
    contributed throughout the entire year.
  • Keep track of non-BAP hours and submit them via
    the link on the BAP website (lower right-hand
    side under TOOLS)

  • 8 in addition to candidate quarter
  • 15 Total Service Hours
  • Again, only 5 total hours can be contributed from
    Non-BAP events

No-Show Policy
  • If you sign up for an event and later realize you
    cannot attend that event, you MUST cancel a
    minimum of 24 hours in advance.
  • 1st Offence Warning and 1 additional service
    hour added to total yearly requirement
  • 2nd Offence 5 additional service hours added to
    total yearly requirement
  • 3rd Offence Dropped from membership

  • BAP meetings and other informative, business
    related meetings
  • What a Professional Hour is NOT
  • Recruiting Events

  • 7 MUST be BAP meetings
  • 1 CAN be from another organization (check with VP
    of Membership)
  • CISB Students Contact VP of Membership

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure your hours
    are properly recorded
  • Attire Business casual clothing

  • 10 Additional Hours
  • Service and/or Professional
  • ONLY 5 Service and 5 Professional Non-BAP hours
    can be contributed to your total hours
  • Total 40 hours
  • Candidate Quarter
  • 7 Service hours
  • 5 must be BAP sponsored
  • 8 Professional Hours
  • 7 must be BAP meetings
  • Total 15 hours

Academic Requirement
  • Junior standing (have taken, or currently
    enrolled in a 300-level accounting class)
  • 3.1 in upper division business classes
  • OR
  • 3.25 for last 45-quarter credits

Additional Requirements
  • Financial Contribution
  • 55 pledge fee
  • 40 quarterly dues
  • Fall Quarter Total 95
  • Due Date
  • October 18, 2007
  • Pay dues before Thursday meetings or in Balmer
    Commons on October 10th-11th and the 15th 18th
    from 1100-130 in Balmer Commons
  • You must turn in your application with your dues
    in order for us to accept payment
