America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Most
tropical rain forests are located in between the
Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RAIN FOREST
  • Most rain forests have a temperature from 64-94F.
  • They are hot, sticky, and steamy.
  • The plants are azalea, rose, tulip, prickly pear,
    and bird of paradise.
  • The animals that live there are spiders,
    monkeys,birds, wildcats, frogs.

Did you know that it rains every day in the
rainforest? Thats why its called a
rainforest! Also Two main types of rainforests
are cloud forests and lowland forests. 1,700
different kinds of bugs can live in one
tree. Entomologists study insects- youd have to
love bugs quite a lot to want to be one!

Shelter
Do you know the kinds of shelter in the
rainforest? One kind looks like a beehive. Others
are big apartments and small houses. They even
have homes like ours, as well as houses made with
stilts, palm leaves, floating planks, wood,
taipa, thin branches, clay, sand, lime, bamboo,
and tree bark.

Rainforest Clothing
The clothing in the rainforest is like our
clothing. Women wear long dresses, colorful
skirts, grass skirts, and cotton head pieces. Men
and boys wear t-shirts, necklaces, undershirts,
normal shirts, pants, and shorts. Their clothing
is light weight and made out of cotton and grass.

Transportation in the Rain Forest
People in the rain forest use caribous, pony
carriage, and airplanes to travel. They also
walk, use boats, and a dugout canoe to go around
in the rain forest.

Rainforest Jobs
There are a lot of ways you can make a living in
the rainforest. They are Gathering
wood Hunting hospitals Fishing
marketing farming
getting fruits, nuts and berries See?! There are
a lot of jobs you can do in the rainforest!
