3System Classifications
- Transient, Non-Community
- non-community water system that does not
regularly serve at least 25 of the same persons
over six months per year. - Non-transient, non-community
- public water system that is not a community water
system and that regularly serves at least
twenty-five (25) of the same persons over six
months per year. - Non-Community
- public water system that serves at least fifteen
(15) service connections or regularly serves an
average of at least twenty-five (25) individuals
daily at least sixty (60) days out of the year. - Community
- public water system that serves at least fifteen
service connections used by year-round residents
or regularly serves at least twenty-five
year-round residents. - State-defined
- any water system that serves less than fifteen
(15) service connections or regularly serves an
average of less than twenty-five (25) individuals
daily.

justification - Transfer of an operating permit requires
