Title: Curriculum Planning in Physical Education

1
Curriculum Planning in Physical Education
2
  • Curriculum should be designed to achieve
predetermined objectives. To do this there is a
need for an orderly process to gather, select,
    sort, and balance content.

3
Curriculum Development
4
  • Curriculum development had its roots in
Germany, where Herbert taught that learning
required orderly attention to the selection and
    organization of content.

5
  • Curriculum must attend to social goals as a
result, it is affected by social forces.

6
  • Education is, perhaps, the best means to solve a
variety, if not all, social ills.

7
  • Curriculum development is critical. A well
planned program can produce support from
    colleagues, adminis trators, parents, and
    students.
