Purpose

• The BOCC asked DUSWM to review the proposed
  Woodbourne Manor tank and evaluate if possible
  alternative locations were available
• The impact on the viewshed was a primary
  concern
• DUSWM subsequently identified an alternative site
  that moved the tank closer to MD Rt. 340 and
  reduced the height by 40 feet
• Present this alternative this evening

History (Woodbourne Manor)

• Frederick County Planning Commission Conditional
  Approval on February 21, 2007 of Preliminary Plan
• Water storage tank site plan presented to FCPC in
  October 2007
• Following DUSWM analysis of alternative sites,
  DUSWM met with Frederick County BOE on April 16,
  2008 for consideration of siting the tank at the
  Valley Elementary School property
