  • DC/DC converters S9074 (3.4 V, 5.6 V), S9052

  • Front-end electronics
  • SDR2 data collection and reduction slow
    control
  • SFEC charge (TOF dynodes), inside detector
    planes
  • SFET2 charge and time (TOF anodes)
  • SFEA2 charge/ history for ACC plus two charge
    and time (TOF anodes)
  • SPT2 pre-trigger unit, fast trigger input to
    SCrate, and SFEC transceiver
  • Each of the 4 S-crates contain
  • 1 SDR2
  • 4 SFET2
  • 1 SPT2 (hosting connectors for 2 SFECs)

  • ACTIVITIES
  • Board and crate FM production assembly will be
    done by CSIST
  • The production at CSIST will be managed by INFN
    Bologna/Perugia
  • QM2 Design (schematics/gerber files) and
    documentation for CSIST is in charge of INFN
    Bologna/Florence
  • INFN Bologna in charge of the component
    procurement through MIT
  • MIT/Florence are designing and testing Actel, DSP
    software system integration
  • QM1 production, for stand alone and qualification
    tests, is in Italy (INFN Bologna/Florence)
  • Qualification tests will be done in Italy (INFN
    Bologna/Perugia)

  • SFEC
  • QM1 calibrated in Bologna for dynode dynamic
    range and tested in Florence for thermal
    behaviour.
  • QM2 ready in Florence for qualification tests
  • CAEN ready for FM boards production (3 weeks)
  • 8 FM shall be mounted on the TOF detector and
    will have common vibration tests.
  • QM1/2 shall be used for integration tests in CERN

  • calibration tests full 3 days
    procedure with temp sensor

    with CSIST , production of printed board will
    start as soon as possible
  • (Minor changes for mechanical support of the
    front panel and serigraphy)
  • SDR2 QM1 assembly ongoing in Florence (boards
    ready (FR4)) for integration tests
  • SDR2 EM board has been used for development of
    CDP and Front end Actel
  • CDP tested in CERN
  • Front End Actel under test in Florence

    Florence (ready to be sent to CSIST)
  • SPT2 QM1 to be produced in Florence (two weeks)
    (FR4) for integration tests
  • SPT2 EM board under test
  • Connection to SFEC SDR ok
  • Trigger Actel already delivered by Lin to be
    tested (link test with SDR and trigger logic test
    with pattern generator) (Florence)

  • Backplane QM2 gerber and documentation under
    review in Florence (stopped for modification)
  • After a meeting with anti-counters peoples has
    been decided to modify board pin out to allow to
    install a SFEA board on SFET socket
  • Test in Aachen test beam can be done with 3
    SFEA on one backplane

  • SFET EM under test in Bologna
  • SFET/SDR link implemented by BolognaFlorence
  • SFET2 QM1 design and documentation will start
    next week
  • SFEA2 is a subset of SFET2
  • TOF input circuits shall be substituted by a
    Anti-Counter preamplifier which will be tested by
    Aachen
  • Merging of the two designs will be done in Italy
  • Tests in Bologna and Design Documentation in
    Florence will be done in parallel. New SFET2
    design ready for Jan 2006.

  • EM HV power supply QM1 control board ready in
    Bologna to be tested in CERN
  • In delivery one QM2 and one FM
  • DC/DC
  • QM2 (1 S9074 (3.4 V, 5.6 V), 1 S9052 (5.6 V))
    ready for assembly
  • Eight FM already in production (no coating to
    allow for reworking)
  • Remaining four spare FM ready to be produced
