3Introduction
- According to the TEM discussion at CSIST on 7/6,
electronics crates including QM (TTPD UUPD)
and FM / FS (JJTJPD) will be delivered to NSPO
for T/V tests in February 2005. - Two TV/TB tests for QM J and JJTJPD,
respectively, had been successfully performed at
NSPO in the last two years before the results
were issued by a paper and presented in 34th ICES
(International Conference on Environmental
Systems) on July 19, 2004, at Colorado Springs,
Co., USA.

5Test Interfaces - Electrical
- Four 55 pins of feedthroughs (95-44 CD951 B07H
22-55PS) for electrical signals and two 24 pins
of feedthroughs (DM5623-37-2-PP) for power were
used during 1st QM J-crate TV test. Portplate
with optical fiber feedthroughs was added for 2nd
J/JT/JPD TV test. - Need to confirm the following items
- How many feedthroughs will be used for QM U/UPD
and T/TPD TV test(s)? - Are there any updates for FM/FS JJTJPD TV
tests? - Are there any EGSE boxes installed inside the TV
chamber during testing for each aforementioned
test?

6Test Interfaces Mechanical and Thermal
- Need to confirm mechanical interfaces
(engineering drawings) for QM TTPD / UUPD and
FM/FS JJTJPD TV tests. - QM T/TPD and U/UPD may not be tested together as
suggested in the last TEM due to the dimensional
constraint of thermal baseplate of small TV
chamber! - Do FM/FS JJTJPD have the exactly same
mechanical interfaces as QM crates? - Need to get the detailed material list (with the
corresponding outgassing data) for each test
article before conducting the TV test in order to
fulfill NSPO QA requirement. - NSPO will prepare all the required thermal test
materials such as MLI, heaters, thermal fillers
(Cho-Therm), thermal isolators, etc., as usual.

9Pre-Test Activities
- Need to get the thermal model for QM T/TPD and
U/UPD before testing in order to verify crate
thermal interfaces design and analysis after
performing the thermal balance test. - Need to prepare the thermal test procedures for
the coming TV/TB tests. However, the electrical
function test procedures should be provided by
all the crates owners in order to complete the
electrical portions of the TV test procedures.
