THE VESSEL TRAFFIC SERVISES DEPARTEMENT IS AN
INTEGRATED PART OF STATOILHYDROS SECOND-LINE
EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTRE. THE SENTER IS ON DUTY
AROUND THE CLOCK AND THEREFOR A KEY POINT OF
CONTACT IN THE FIRST PHASE OF AN EMERGENCY. ITS
PRINCIPAL DUTY IS CONTINUOUS RADAR MONITORING OF
THE GROUP'S OWN OIL AND GAS FIELDS OFF NORWAY,
BUT THIS SERVICE IS ALSO PROVIDED FOR
FIELDS/INSTALLATIONS OPERATED BY OTHER COMPANIES.

• Radar monitoring of fields/installations operated
  by both Statoil and other operating companies on
  the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS)
• Operators with navigational certificate class 1 (
  master), experienced from most of the maritime
  industry.
• On duty 24 hours, 3 operators daytime and 2
  operators at nightshift.
• Providing services to Norwegian authorities (Main
  Rescue Central, NOFO, Norwegian Coast Guard,
  coast directorate and Petroleum Safety Authority
  Norway,)
