The Learning Curve

• In the first phase the listener finds difficult
  to follow the discussion...SLOW DOWN!
• The second phase is the optimal one the
  terminology is understood and the listener is
  acquainted with the subject and with the
  teacher....DO THE HARD STUFF NOW!
• After about 30 minutes, the listener attention
  starts to decrease... THINK ABOUT A BREAK change
  subject, do a little bit of conversation, involve
  the listener in discussions/exercises

• Always give a brief introduction...
• Keep slides as simple as you can...
• Avoid lists
• Avoid long descriptions
• Use animations, pictures, graphs...
• Provide a print-out of your slides.
