- A program identifying a structured and meaningful
training path developed to take a novice employee
to the journey worker performance level.

- A skilled worker who practices some trade or
handicraft syn craftsman - Craftsman a person who practices or is highly
skilled in a craft (an art, trade, or occupation
requiring special skill) - One who has fully served an apprenticeship in a
trade or craft and has become a professional
level craftsman in the trade. -
7What is the Purpose?
- To Provide training and upgrading opportunities
for minorities, women disadvantaged workers to
move them toward journey worker status
8What does OJT do?
- Provides an individual an opportunity to earn a
wage, while learning a trade (earning while
learning.) - Provides Advancement opportunities for Trainees
- Replenish the labor force to minimize lost
knowledge

maintaining a roadway.

opportunities? - For example some of the most commonly used are
