• 9th-12th Grade Students

Who Must Submit Choice Works?

• All students who attend PHHS
• 9th-11th Graders submit 5 choice works.
• 12th Graders submit 4 choice works.

How Many Choice Works Per Class?

• One per class
• Exception classes that meet for more than 2
  hours per day may submit two choice works.
• PE will count as a class with permission of your
  PE teacher!

What is a Choice Work?

• Choice works are individually selected
  assignments students choose to submit.

What Makes a Good Choice Work?

• Well-defined
• Not based on final grade
• Demonstrate ESLRs
• Apparent Learning
• Exhibit thought and consideration
• Legible

Well-Defined

• Avoid scantrons no way to tell what test was
  about
• Avoid simple classroom notes or scribbled work
• Exhibition panelists want to see work that is
  specific and detailed

Not Just a Grade

• Dont submit A only work.
• Focus on growth and learning.
• Reflect on what you learned from work, not just
  what you received.

Demonstrate ESLRs

• ESLRs Expected Schoolwide Learning Results
• Refer to Exhibition website and the posted ESLRs
  in classroom to see a detailed list

Learning has Occurred

• Submit work that shows learning
• Focus on assignments that took time to figure out
  and apply your knowledge

Careful Thought Consideration

• One piece per class means choosing carefully
• Choose a piece that encapsulates your learning in
  the class
• Pick the work you are most proud of

Legible Work

• If it cant be read, it cant be assessed.
• Sloppy work may indicate not taking the
  Exhibition seriously a costly mistake.

  will NOT be accepted

  section of the Exhibition website.
