Software migrate - 1

• This procedure must be done when upgrading to SW
  version gt 1.38. This is due the new feature
  supporting 5 machine configurations. If this is
  not done, your settings are not stored!
• Shut down the BPS display
• Connect a null-modem cable between your laptop
  and the display unit software update connector
• Start terminal software in the laptop
  (recommended Tera Term Pro)
• baudrate 38400
• 8 bits
• No parity
• 1 stop bit
• No handshaking
• Start up the BPS system

• When you see the prompt core login on the
  terminal screen, type root, and press Enter.
  You are now logging in, there is no password
• Type mount
• You should get
• /dev/hrfd1 on / type ext3 (rw)
  
• /proc on /proc type proc (rw)
  
• /dev/hrfd2 on /data type ext3 (rw)
• If last line is missing, type mount -a,
  re-check
• Type cd /data/conf
• Type mkdir 1
• Type mkdir 2
• Type mkdir 3
• Type mkdir 4
• Type mkdir 5
• Copy existing configurations to machine 1
  configuration, by typing
• copy .conf. 1/

• Type cd /data/logs
• Type mkdir 1
• Type mkdir 2
• Type mkdir 3
• Type mkdir 4
• Type mkdir 5
• Copy existing log-files to machine 1
  configuration, by typing
• copy .log. 1/
• Shutdown, start over and enjoy
