4Introduction
- For many valve automation applications, remote
indication of the valve position is required.
Remote valve position is typically achieved
through the use of mechanical limit switches
which are usually fitted within an enclosure (a
switchbox) for use in hazardous locations and to
provide mechanical protection. Bettis provides
one main type of switchbox BettiSwitch IITM. - BettiSwitch IITM switchboxes are typically used
in applications where explosion proof electrical
equipment is required.

- Up to 20 points are available. Terminals are
rugged, easy to use and are well defined to
assist technicians - Epoxy coating
- A long cure, two part epoxy coating provides an
excellent corrosion resistant exterior to protect
against aggressive environments. Commando coating
also available on request - Rugged aluminium enclosure

- Unique split shaft design
- The split shaft design allows the cover and
visual indicator to be removed as a complete unit
with the captive stainless steel screws and
replaced in its original position for easy
re-assembly. - Seals
- The BettiSwitchTM has two o-ring seals, one for
the shaft and one for the lid (instead of
unreliable face seals) ensuring that it is
suitable for use in humid environments - Easy accessible grounding screws

- Versatile range of switch options
- The interior of the housing is designed to accept
a large selection of switch designs including the
Bettis i-max hermetically sealed read switch,
plus other control accessories. Up to 4 switches
can be installed - NAMUR (VDE/VDI) mounting platform
- The BettiSwitch IITM mounting platform is
machined to provide accurate repeatable shaft
alignment that fabricated sheet metal brackets
cannot achieve. The mounting platform is fully
enclosed for personal protection

- The Bettis switchbox contains your selection of
up to four switches to electrically or
pneumatically provide accurate, positive remote
feedback of the valve or damper position - Rugged Corrosion Resistant
- The Bettis switch bases are manufactured from
Zytel and the beacon indicators from Lexan to
provide superior strength and resistance to
corrosive environments - Junction Box Functionality
- With up to three conduit entries and multiple
internal terminal strips, the BettiSwitch IITM
allows solenoid valves, limit switches and other
feedback devices to be terminated in one single
enclosure

- Visual Position Indicator
- The visual indicator is the largest, most easily
seen indicator on the market. Protected by a
strong Lexan cover, accurate position indication
can be seen from almost any angle. Through design
the overall envelope dimensions of the Bettis are
smaller than most other designs, even though the
visual indicator is significantly larger - Visual Position Indicator Options
- 0º to 90º and 0º to 180º types are available in
various colors and languages.

- User Friendly
- To facilitate ease of wiring, the terminal strips
and which module are easily removed from the
base. Access to the switchbox internals is quick
and easy a quick turn of the Lexan cover with
its o-ring sealed bayonet lock to the housing
completely opens the large working area of the
switchbox. The Bettis has no external moving parts

SafeMount include

but high in quality. Quality is assured through
certified management systems - Safety
- The SafeMount is fully enclosed. Fingers cannot
get at the rotating shaft giving plant personnel
maximum protection - Strong Accurate
- The SafeMount is engineered to be strong and
accurate. No more bent and/or flexing mounting
brackets or poorly aligned mounting holes
resulting in damage to accessory bearings and
shaft seals
