3Project Overview
- This project is designed to benefit a number of
sports that have been highlighted by a research
project for lacking qualifications in certain
sporting areas. - Â
- The main area of development is to get more newly
qualified coaches involved in sports and existing
coaches to a higher standard to help raise the
level of sport in Sussex. The funding from SEEDA
allows the less profiled sports to gain new
qualified coaches to start or support existing
sports clubs and overall improve the coaching
standards in the county.
4Research Project
- Albion In The Community commissioned a research
project carried out by the Sussex County Sports
Partnership Trust. - They conducted a six month research project
across Sussex detailing all sports and
highlighting which sports need assisting in
gaining new and existing qualified coaches. - The five main sports highlighted were
- Volleyball
- Athletics
- Hockey
- Swimming
- Basketball
