Exit Slips
Directions For the last five minutes of class,
answer the daily prompt (or select one from
several choices). YOU MUST WRITE for the entire
time.

• Uses of Exit Slips
• collect cards as students exit class and use as
  discussion starters next day
• diagnostic show understandings and
  misconceptions
• dont have to grade them
• scan them for content, themes, concerns and or
  unique comments or questions to plan next lesson
• read several aloud so when students hear them,
  they know they are taken seriously

• What did you learn today?
• What were the most confusing parts of todays
  class? WHY?
• What would you like me to review in class
  tomorrow? WHY?
• If you were going to teach this to someone else
  what would be in your notes? Show me.
• Predict what we will learn next in this unit.
