Background OASIS PKI TC

• The former PKI Forum transitioned to OASIS in
  2002
• OASIS established the PKI Technical Committee
  (PKI TC) in January 2003
• An important role for the PKI TC is to identify
  obstacles to PKI deployment and usage, so that
  those obstacles can be addressed
• Two surveys on PKI obstacles were conducted
  (2003)
• Identified five primary obstacles to PKI
  deployment
• Published PKI Action Plan Feb 2004
