Middleware

• Completed
• Released Generic Information Provider which is
  used to populate the GLUE schema. This
  information is published by MDS2 and describes
  the resource to the meta scheduler in use by
  EGEE.
• Advertise select resources as interoperable.
• Approved the Interoperability VO, Ops,,as an
  OSG VO, to be available in the next release of
  the VO package.
• Planned with 0.6.0
• Release BDII for resources as alternative to MDS2
• Release Site Functional Tests (SFTs) developed
  by EGEE with middleware
• To prevent ticket creation and attempts to
  execute of SFTs develop programmatic interface
  to the trouble ticket system which allows
  retrieval of OSG resource scheduled outages.

Challenges

• How do we all find out changes in Interfaces and
  Semantics before they get to the Production
  grids?
• How should OSG participate in scalability tests
  other than by the VOs?
• How do we learn about new s/w developments in
  time to have common approaches avoid
  duplication divergence?
• How do we manage ourselves to not give in to
  panic mode responses give ourselves time to
  not organize just in time.
• How do we support our non-WLCG stakeholders
  without clashes?
