  • Highest in the nation
  • Health care is the states largest industry by
    employment level
  • Four the states top ten employers are hospitals
  • Highest projected growth to 2016 at almost 20
  • Health care agencies need registered nurses and
    nurse managers
  • All state schools are forced to turn away large
    numbers of qualified students every year Rhode
    Islanders who could be gainfully employed in a
    vital industry with secure employment

Technical Assistance

    better use of scarce resources

    curricula to create the nurse of the future

    Commission on Nursing

    use of simulation, and partnership models (joint
    appointments)
