• Course Overview

Programme Aim

• This course aims to develop a students knowledge
  and understanding, confidence and creativity in
  analysing, designing, developing and evaluating
  information and software technology solutions.

Programme Objectives

• Students will develop a variety of knowledge,
  understanding, skill, values and attitudes
  including-
• knowledge and understanding of a range of
  computer software and hardware
• problem-solving and critical thinking skills in
  order to design and develop creative information
  and software technology solutions for a variety
  of real-world problems
• responsible and ethical attitudes related to the
  use of information and software technology
• knowledge and understanding of the effects of the
  past, current and emerging information and
  software technologies on the individual and
  society
• effective communication skills and collaborative
  work practices leading to information and
  software technology solutions for specific
  problems.

The Core Content of the Syllabus will be
addressed and integrated in the six main topic
areas through the projects over the duration of
the course and includes-

Assessment

• Assessment for this course will contain a variety
  of tasks and projects.
• Every student must complete all tasks, activities
  and projects throughout this course

What you will need
You are required to bring the following to each
lesson

• A4 Folder and A4 notebook (lined with holes for
  folder) or 5 subject spiral notebook (250 pages)
• Coloured Pens, pencils, highlighters, eraser,
  ruler and pencil sharpener
• Diary

Not essential but beneficial

• USB Pen Drive

Expectations

• Punctuality
• Students to arrive to class on time
• All work to be completed on time (Penalties will
  be applied for late submissions)
• Responsibilities
• Students to arrive at every lesson with all
  appropriate equipment
• To use the computers in a safe and ethical manner
  (inappropriate use will result in a ban)
• Computers to be used for school work only no
  games, music or videos.

Expectations

• Quality work
• All work must meet the minimum guides specified
  in the task, activity or project sheets
• All types sheets should contain a header with
  your name on the rights hand side and a footer
  with the page number, subject name and task or
  project title.
• All work must be your own
