  • submitted for all staff employed by the
    district
  • Some of the same information reported for budget
actual is collected on each individual teacher
  • The primary connection to C T remains the
Program Intent Code 22 in Code Table C147.
  • Teachers who teach C T courses that are not
approved for weighted funding will have a program
    intent code of 11. 90 of a districts C T

  • Number of Days employed
  • of Day employed
  • 187 days employed and 100 employed equals 1
    FTE.

22
STAFF DATA
  • All professional employees must
  • be reported on a Staff Responsibility record
  • The primary connection to C T on the Staff
Responsibility record is the population served
    indicator Code C030
  • 05 Career Technology Students
  • Indicates students are served in an approved
    state C T education course

23

STUDENT DATA - 110
38
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • The 110 record contains many of the special
    population indicators for each student
  • It contains the C T Indicator (Table C142)
  • 0 Not enrolled in a C T course
  • 1 Enrolled in a C T course
  • 2 Participant in a coherent sequence of courses
    program
  • 3 Participant in a Tech Prep Program
  • If a students plan changes their indicator should
    change

39
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • 0 Enrolled indicates that the student is not
enrolled in a C T course (on snapshot date)
  • nor is the student a participant in a coherent
    sequence of courses
  • nor is the student in a Tech Prep program

40
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • 1 Enrolled in a C T course indicates that
the student is taking a C T course, but the
students 4-year plan of study does not outline a
coherent sequence of courses in C T
  • To be coded a 1, the student must have a C T
class in their schedule on the snapshot date.
  • Used for those students who are taking a C T
course on an elective basis only.
  • Applicable for students in grade 06 12.

41
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • 2 Participant in a coherent sequence of
    courses program
  • This is a student who is enrolled in a sequential
course of study, which develops occupational
knowledge, skills, and competencies relating to a
    career concentration.
  • Student should have a 4 year plan of study to
take 2 or more C T courses for 3 or more
    credits.
  • Must be enrolled in, or have completed a semester

    postsecondary level.
  • Must be enrolled in, or have completed a semester
    of C T courses which are a part of their C T
    coherent sequence of courses

STUDENT DATA - 110
48
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • The Statewide Program
  • A state-designed, advanced college
  • placement program
  • For students interested in technical
  • careers that require college
  • Facilitates the award of articulated
  • college credit in public two-year colleges
    across the state
  • Common core of articulated courses with their own
Service ID in C022 (The service IDs have a TP in
the abbreviated name and a T in the number)

49
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • The Statewide Program
  • Still uses the A suffix code on transcripts
  • Course content exceeds TEKS
  • HS teachers must complete special training
  • District cant teach course until all teacher
    requirements are met
  • Qualified teachers are maintained in statewide
    database

50
STUDENT DATA - 110
Required Teacher Professional Development for
Statewide Articulated CoursesHigh school faculty
teaching statewide-articulated courses must
participate in joint staff development activities
with college faculty at least once every three
years. The 6 contact hours teacher training is
required for all teachers of statewide-articulated
courses. There are two parts to the required
training Part I - General Session (3 contact
hours) Part II - Subject-Area Session (3
contact hours)
51
STUDENT DATA - 110
Any student who successfully completes
statewide-articulated secondary courses,
graduates from any secondary school in the state,
and meets the requirements, is eligible to
receive articulated credit from any participating
public two-year college in the state that offers
the corresponding college courses.
52
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • The Statewide Program
  • To be eligible for postsecondary credit as a
single course, the student must be in grade 11 or
    12. Courses in a coherent sequence may be taken
at any grade level (9-12) as long as the final
course in the ATC (Advanced Technical
Credit)-required coherent sequence is taken when
the student is in grade 11 or 12.

53
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • The Local Program
  • This is an agreement between one college and one
    high school or district
  • Still uses the A code on transcripts
  • Can not use the courses in C022 with a TP in the
    abbreviated name (unless teacher qualified)

54
STUDENT DATA - 110
  • Dual Enrollment
  • The student is taking high school courses and
college courses at the same time.
  • Handbook eliminated the requirement for 4 hours
of high school credit only for full day ADA. Can
    be a combination of both.
  • If there is no correlation between the TEKS for
HS and the college course, the district may
select a course from the innovative course
listing in C022. A waiver must be obtained in
    order to teach the course.
  • If there isnt an innovative course available,
the District will request through the waiver
process that TEA create a new innovative course.

55
STUDENT DATA - 169
  • Once a student has been identified on the 110
record with an indicator of 1,2, or 3 additional
    information concerning services is required.

59
STUDENT DATA - 170
  • Once a student has been identified on the 110
record as a 1, 2, or 3 course information is
    required.
  • There are some instances where a student has been
identified as a 2 or 3 and there is not a
corresponding 170 record. (2 3 do not have to
be enrolled in a C T course on the snapshot
    date.)
  • The 170 record consists of
  • TEA Service ID
  • CTE Work-Based Learning Ind Code

60
STUDENT DATA - 170
