Introduction

• Americans spend almost 4 billion every year on a
  treat known as the potato chip.

Story 1.

• One day in 1968 a man named Harold Bark was at
  work at a local restaurant and was on his break.
  The manager often let the employees make their
  lunch from the food at the restaurant. He was
  going to fix himself a sandwich and potato
  wedges. When he was slicing the potatoes, he
  sliced them very thin by mistake. He thought it
  would be funny to see the slices get fried. He
  put them in the fryer for five minutes at 350
  degrees Fahrenheit. When he took them out they
  were nothing but thin, curled pieces of fried
  potatoes. Then a costumer asked, Can I have one
  of those. Harold said, Yes." After that it
  became a global phenomenon .

Story 2

• One day a customer kept sending his plate of
  fried potatoes back to the kitchen asking that
  they be sliced thinner and fried longer. George
  Crum had a bad temper, and he decided to get even
  with the complaining diner. He sliced the
  potatoes very thin, fried them till they were
  curly crisps, and then salted them. Certain the
  guest would hate them, he had the potatoes
  delivered to the table. To everyones surprise,
  the patron was delighted and asked for more.

Conclusion

  3.468 billion pounds of potatoes end up as
